Dreaming never needed two,
But I'll spare a thought to remember you.
I've got a shoe in my hand, its a beggar's tool
All worn out, but readily used.
And I'm wearing the rain like a light summer coat.
The spring is here so I'm taking it slow.
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
It feels so good to be free.
Still I'm picking at life with a golden needle, waiting to see if it bleeds.
And the air here is turning to smoke
It used to be clear now its blacker than most
And I could wash my face, I could take a walk,
But I'd still be stuck with all my wants.
I'd like to believe that there are stories to be told
Even if there isn't much to say.
But if sharing my thoughts means losing my soul
Then I'd rather not talk anyway.
The street is quiet and the lights are dead
And all good things have gone to bed.
Dreaming never needed two,
But I'll spare a thought to remember you.
And the fire is erupting from all my hidden burns.
I don't know, I don't know, but I hope that I have learned.
I was walking through the downtown marketplace
On a very busy day.
And the lady with the flowers was twisting her face
She said son are you okay.
Well the truth is it don't matter, I don't care much anymore
What's done is done is better
So we'll laugh it out the door.
Thanks for the discovery !!!
