S'il n'y avait qu'un texte à retenir parmi ceux écrit par Vampire Weekend, ce serait surement Walcott. Pourquoi? Pas parce qu'il est le meilleur, mais parce qu'il est le fondement du groupe.

Explications.

Walcott est la première chanson écrite par le groupe. Le nom de Vampire Weekend vient d'un film dans lequel Ezra Koening (le chanteur) a joué. Dans ce film, Walcott, le héros, doit s'enfuir de Cap Cod pour prévenir les autorités d'une attaque de vampires. Voila donc pourquoi le nom de Cap Cod revient sans cesse dans leurs chansons.
